Trauma Treatment

Understanding mental health is crucial in today's fast-paced world. Our comprehensive resources empower you to maintain emotional well-being and resilience.

Our Approach

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is a researched based, 8 phase model, that is widely accepted as the standard of care for trauma therapy.

Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR)

DBR is a cutting edge approach that initiates the brainstem to process unresolved traumatic symptoms. This approach appears to be more gentle than other trauma modalities and in turn requires less “readiness” for trauma work.

Somatic Experiencing (SE)

SE is an approach to trauma resolution that works on the trauma that is stored in the body- as Bessel van Der Kolk’s book highlights, “The Body Keeps the Score.”

Structural Dissociation Theory

The theory of structural dissociation posits that when an event is too distressing for our nervous systems to experience, a “part” of us separates from the self and holds the trauma, so “it didn’t happen to me”. Not fully realizing the event happening makes it easier to endure. All of us have parts. The part of us that goes to work, the part of us that is a friend, the part of us that goes food shopping. We show up slightly different in different situations. Some people show up very different in different situations. Using SDT, we explore the beliefs and functions of these parts in order to reduce the negative impact certain parts have on life.
