Welcome to Blue Bird Counseling. I hold a master's in professional counseling from Seton Hall University, earned in 2014. Throughout my career, I've dedicated myself to working adults facing a diverse array of mental health challenges, such as trauma, self-harm, suicidal ideation, depression, and dissociative disorders. My expertise lies in trauma resolution, and I tailor my approach based on the unique needs and preferences of each client. I am honored to be certified by the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) and have actively practiced EMDR since 2018.

I am well-versed in a range of therapeutic modalities, including brainspotting, structural dissociation, psychodrama, Internal Family Systems (IFS), The Meadows Model (PIT) and I integrate somatic approaches into my therapeutic toolkit. Employing a parts model in my approach has proven effective, empowering my clients to achieve optimal results.

My time at The Meadows provided invaluable opportunities to learn from esteemed professionals in the field, including Pia Mellody, Bessel van der Kolk, Tian Dayton, Dick Schwartz, Peter Levine, and Kevin McCauley.

Above all, my commitment is to deliver compassionate care, creating a safe and supportive environment for my clients to embark on their journey of healing from emotional wounds.

Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker located in Arizona, and I hold both a bachelor's and master's degree in social work from Arizona State University. Throughout the past ten years, I have gained valuable experience in various settings, including community mental health, hospitals, supporting survivors of domestic violence, and assisting individuals with serious mental illnesses. During my time at The Meadows, I have had the privilege of learning from highly respected professionals in the field, such as Dr. Peter Levine, Tian Dayton, Claudia Black, Dr. Kevin McCauley, and Dr. Lawrence Heller.

My therapeutic approach is eclectic, blending elements of EMDR, somatic experiencing (SE), parts work, and deep brain reorienting (DBR, all three levels). I also incorporate the Meadows Model, which involves educating clients about common core issues like self-esteem and boundaries, helping them recognize life patterns, and utilizing parts work and DBR to address and resolve unhealthy behaviors.

As a certified EMDR practitioner through EMDRIA, I specialize in assisting clients in navigating trauma and various mental health concerns. I am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP); this approach focuses on helping clients reconnect with their bodies and overcome the physical effects of trauma.

At the core of my practice is the establishment of a safe and supportive environment where clients can embark on their healing and growth journeys. I strongly believe in a collaborative approach to therapy, where we work together to uncover the underlying causes of your concerns and develop effective strategies for moving forward.
