Frequently Asked Questions

  • We offer personalized individual therapy utilizing a range of evidence-based modalities tailored to the unique needs and interests of each client. Our approach may include methods such as EMDR, Somatic Experiencing (SE), the Meadows Model, parts work, psychodrama, and cognitive behavioral therapies such as CBT, DBT, and REBT.

In addition to our regular individual sessions, we also provide the option of EMDR intensives. These intensives are a focused, 2-3 day program that allows for a deeper level of healing and processing. During the intensive, clients receive 2-3 hours of treatment per day over the course of one week. This concentrated approach can be effective in promoting more rapid progress and a greater sense of transformation.

  • At Blue Bird Counseling, we kindly ask for 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to offer the time slot to another client who may need it. If you fail to provide the required notice, you will be charged the full session fee for the missed appointment. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with this policy.

  • At our practice, we operate on a private pay basis only and do not accept insurance. We believe this allows us to focus on providing the highest quality care to our clients without the constraints imposed by insurance companies. If you have any questions about our payment policy please contact us.
